Passing on our expertise to tomorrow’s top-notch PR professionals
We actively strive to promote education for PR consultants. Our in-house workshops on PR and media evaluation are regularly attended by students enrolled in German and foreign universities, private academies for continuing and adult education and other centres for higher education.
AUSSCHNITT has developed specialized lesson plans and written course material focusing on media monitoring and analysis.
In addition to training modules devoted to PR planning or media evaluation, our educational program is used by night and distance learning programs at the following institutions:
The mission of the German Press Academy is to contribute to the comprehensive and continual professionalisation of the fields of public relations and communications. Program graduates should look at communications as an integral aspect of management and understand how companies and the media operate.
Ingrid Moorkens from the Department of Media Analysis at AUSSCHNITT developed for depak’s distance learning degree in public relations the educational text “Media Monitoring and Media Resonance Analysis” , parts of which formed the basis of seminar examinations.
The Testing and Certification Organisation of the German Communications Industry (PZOK) conducts uniform, independent certifications within the communications industry. The organisation is supported by the three largest communications associations within Germany: the Federal Association of German Press Agents (BdP - Bundesverband deutscher Pressesprecher), the German Public Relations Society (DPRG - Deutsche Public Relations Gesellschaft), and the Society of Public Relations Agencies (GPRA - Gesellschaft Public Relations Agenturen). The PZOK vouches for the quality of training, and develops this continually through up-to-date, contemporary testing templates.
Dr. Jan Janzen, Head of Social Media Evaluation, tests the qualification of ‘Social Media Manager’. The qualification is unique within the communications industry, and lays claim to a high reputation within the entire German-speaking realm.
The University of Applied Sciences in Darmstadt considers its goal "learning in action". The school is one of the largest and best known schools for applied learning in Germany with approximately 10,500 students and stands out for its hands-on, academically-sound education and for the career success of its graduates.
Ingrid Moorkens, Director of Media Analysis at AUSSCHNITT Medienbeobachtung, developed and led the mandatory seminar "Media Impact Analysis", a master’s level course in online journalism with an emphasis on PR.
IMK, the Institute for Marketing and Communication, trains future marketing and communications managers in practice-oriented day and evening courses in Berlin, Wiesbaden and Miami. Students spend a semester abroad as part of the course, which is similarly structured to a Bachelor of Arts degree course. The institute also offers an IHK certificate course to train as a communications specialist.
